Cupid is calling. Valentine's Day is tonight, what do you have on the menu? Whether you are going out or staying in, here are some foods to increase your libido and some gifts that are just as sweet.
Natural Aphrodisiacs
What is an aphrodisiac anyway? Originating from Aphrodite, the Greek Goddess of Love, Beauty and Sexuality, it is defined by Merriam Webster as "an agent (as a food or drug) that arouses or is held to arouse sexual desire". Today's Sunday Supper will give you some great menu ideas for your special Valentine.
Champagne and Oysters: It's all about your zinc levels. Oysters are high in zinc and have been recommended to help increase libido in both men and women. Champagne is a natural pairing making it the natural selection.
Dark Chocolate: I am not referring to the lack luster chocolate that is mass produced by machines in he middle of PA, I am referring to the rich, smooth, sexy, melt in your mouth, roll on your tongue savory love that you get when you taste great chocolate. I would suggest hand dipping strawberries in melted chocolate and feeding them to your lover. If your local, check out my post about Local Love: Sweet Treats post for dark chocolate ideas.
