Sunday Supper: Keys to Weight Loss Success in 2011

If you are one of the millions of people that made a weight loss resolution for this year, I want you to consider the following.  DIETS DON'T WORK. Lifestyle choices do. Before you dump money into fads, diet books, crap food labeled as low-fat or hearty healthy, work-out gadgets etc., read this post.

Consider this absurdity:  Your ear hurts so you do something that makes your foot feel better.

That doesn't make any sense does it? It's similar with a "diet". Diets do not help the real issue. It is often a temporary fix for a bigger problem and success rates are minuscule causing you to fail again and again. I don't want you to fail. I want you to succeed.

How can one succeed when there is so much hype and misconception out there? Making the decision to change your lifestyle won't happen over night. You will need to make small choices today that lead to big changes later and I am committed to helping you do that. Many of these tips are common sense but always consult your doctor before beginning any program.

Sunday Suppers was created to bring back the tradition of a home cooked meal while remaining health conscious and delicious. Food is meant to be savored and eaten slowly while reconnecting with friends and family around the table. This segment was created because I am passionate about food and health and am committed to helping people make better choices within each category. Over the course of the next few weeks, Sunday Supper will focus on lifestyle choices that will set you up for success. Here are a few things that you have to look forward to:
  • Pantry Clean out: Great recipes begin with great ingredients
  • Myth Busters: The Truth about "Low Fat" foods and the 100 calorie snack pack
  • Never Underestimate the power of a day: Small choices that lead to great changes
  • Food Makeover: Creating a menu to retrain your palate
  • Pressures and misconceptions of society: Marketing Tragedies that can sabotage your weight loss program
Getting Started Today
In celebration of your new commitment, here are a few posts that I have shared with my readers previously. I encourage you to read them before the segment above begins. Again, I am not a doctor and I encourage you to consult yours before beginning a program.
