A slight chill playfully breezes in with the morning air, creating the sound of rustling as the first round of fallen leaves blow down the street in the sparkle of the morning sunlight. The variety of sweater dress styles and designs to be found on the racks this season are far more abundant than in years gone by, making it substantially easier to find the most flattering choice for your unique silhouette. Practically every sweater dress is entirely complementary to all body types. The heavier weight of the fabric combined with the simplicity of each cut allow the dress to effortlessly glide over your shape with little to no bunching, scrunching, or tucking into all the WRONG places. Pure genius.
My pick this week, is the Striped Sweater Dress from the Gap. What do I ADORE about this dress? The style is extremely unique in the realm of sweater dresses. The sleeves are short, and the design fits looser down the body than your average curve skimming sweater dress (think boyfriend “esque”). Because the length of the dress is slightly shorter than others hitting at the mid-thigh, it easily pairs with tights and heels or boots, or topped off with leggings when belted creating a stock room full of amazing looks. The simplicity of the ultra modern rugby stripe and the heavenly soft cotton/cashmere blend complete the piece with the timeless quality we have come to expect from the Gap.
