Tips to Accessorize: Earrings and Handbags

Everyone has their go-to accessories. But are these accessories an after thought, are they purely convenience or are they well coordinated and strategically chosen? Here are some accessory tips you can use to help choose a handbag or earrings.

Choose an accessory that accentuates the colors in your outfit. Pull from the hues in the material to really bring out that color. For example, if you have a navy blue pinstripe suit with tiny teal stripes, choose a bright teal handbag to pull out the color.

Dress for the occasion. Sometimes we get lazy and use the same bag for every outfit but that doesn't always work for the occasion. If you are headed to a formal affair, choose a cocktail clutch. If you are going to the zoo with the kids, carry an over the shoulder tote for accessibility and  extra room.

When traveling, coordinate a handbag that will go with most of your outfits if not all to reduce on the bulk in your carry on.

Note the above photos. Choose earrings that will go with your hairstyle that day. If you have your hair up in a loose bun, choose a romantic dangled earring. If you have your hair down, choose and earring that will shimmer through your hair.  If you have your hair back in a ponytail, choose a classic diamond stud or a costume pair that match the colors in your outfit.
