Live! Cyn Competes At Thread SF this Sunday at The Metreon

Happy Fashion Friday everyone! SFFAMA has done it again. This Sunday I am headed to the Metreon at 4th and Mission to compete in a LIVE STYLE SERIES at Thread Show. I am one of five local fashion bloggers to compete live during the show. I get a closet, models and have 30 minutes to dress my live models while over 2,000 trend setters in the crowd vote via Twitter. No pressure.

The Show
I declare Sunday Funday. Thread Show returns to the Bay Area this Sunday at the Metreon. One serious day of fashion with DJ's mixing beats, lounging sipping signature drinks, shopping the latest trends... I'm in.  Originating in Lara Matthews' backyard in SD, Thread "is a curated showcase of the best emerging, trend forecasting, style breaking, genre bending fashion designers, and the music and art that rock their world." Designers and Artists from far and wide come to showcase their one of a kind pieces while we shop  for the latest and greatest.

The Deets

Five (5) bloggers to compete in Live Style Series from 12-3 p.m.

Bloggers will get 30 minutes to style and dress models in each look

Bloggers will style six looks from the THREAD Closet

Attendees will cast votes on twitter

Winner will be announced at 3:30 p.m.

ADELLE McELVEEN @ Fashionista Lab

Adelle McElveen is the editor of Fashionista Lab,  an online style, shopping and fashion blog. She also volunteers for  St. Vincent de Paul Society as the Social Media Strategist for Discarded to Divine, an annual fashion show benefit.  She previously judged Fashion Feud, Round 2 in San Francisco. 

JOE NIKOLAOU @ SF Examiner (Europen Fashion)

Joseph Nikolaou is an obsessive follower of European fashion, with a knowledge of street fashion, and an ability to advise men on looks that are simple and street smart. With a personal affinity and knowledge of European Culture/Art, and a personal style to match, he offers a unique perspective to American men that is more substantial than a typical fashion column. Joe is the European Fashion Editor at San Francisco Examiner.

Julie Chiem is a fashion industry professional by day, blogger by night. A trend-conscious enthusiast who’s inspired by endless possibilities on the runway and street wear across the globe. She carries an appreciation for individualism and innovation. Fashion has not only served as her profession, but as a creative outlet. She is not afraid to admit she’s a female addicted to retail.

Lily Ko studied fashion design and merchandising at Central Saint Martins and the Academy of Art University. In addition to writing for 7x7, Lily is an editor at SF Station, writes for Culinary Trends Magazine, and works as a freelance stylist.

Jacyn Siebert is the founder of Sugar Lips Lifestyle Tips. She is a mentor to women in various aspects of their lives. Her intent is to educate, inspire, and help women pursue their passions and improve their lives one lifestyle tip at a time. She previously was a featured speaker at SFFAMA’s ‘Fashion Mash-Up’.
